The course ran from Friday night through until Sunday afternoon and was attended by 13 delegates from the following teams:- SEBEV Search & Rescue, Surrey Search & Rescue, Buckinghamshire Search & Rescue, Kent Search & Rescue, The instructors came from SEBEV, ISIS SAR, Hampshire Search & Rescue, Sussex Search & Rescue and Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs. During the weekend the delegates were taught subjects ranging from Search Techniques to preservation of evidence, missing person behaviour and communications. The weekend included a full scale search simulation exercise on the Saturday night and a lecture and demonstration from Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs. Kris Manning 'Course Director' said "We were delighted to welcome members from other teams on our course and I'm please to say that everyone passed the course with flying colours. Lowland Search Technican is the first level of qualification for operational members of Lowland Search & Rescue teams in the UK and this means that there are now another 13 members out there ready to help save lives" SEBEV Search and Rescue is a registered UK charity comprised solely of volunteers working with Thames Valley Police to locate lost or missing vulnerable people. They are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and rely on sponsorship and donations from the public to exist and continue their valuable work.
