Berkshire based charities 'SEBEV Search Rescue' and 'Berkshire Search Rescue Dogs' were called out to search for missing Bracknell man on Thursday.
Patrick Davies, aged 62, of Bullbrook, was last seen by his friend at around midnight on Tuesday (2/3) after he was dropped off home. Mr Davies is described as white, approximately 5ft 9in and slim, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans and a red and white football scarf. Both teams were contacted by Thames Valley Police on Thursday 4th and tasked with searching large areas of dense woodland close to Mr Davies home address.
SEBEV Search and Rescue supplied 15 specially trained searchers, along with a Search Manager and their Incident Control Vehicle. Berkshire Search & Rescue dogs supplied 6 dog units each consisting of a highly trained Search and Rescue dog, handler and support member.
Both teams deployed at approx 7pm and completed all assigned areas by 10:30pm with no trace of Mr Davies having been found.
Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs and SEBEV Search and Rescue are both UK charities comprised solely of volunteers working with Thames Valley Police to locate lost or missing vulnerable people. Both organisations, although separate, work closely together and train their volunteers to the highest standard. They are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and rely on sponsorship and donations from the public to exist and continue their valuable work.
